A slightly different post today as makeup styles and techniques can help dictate the whole mood and attitude of an outfit I decided to experiment with a slightly more dramatic, elaborate look and channel an almost theatrical appearance. I took inspiration from the dark, deeply intense and alluring make up on the film Black Swan but with an element of danger mixed in. With futuristic glittery eye accents and indelible smoky shadows being a huge look this summer, everyone has the ability, with a little confidence, to make a statement that is unique and totally your own. Although this extreme smoky eye may not be appropriate to sport as an average makeup style there are many elements you can retain for a striking yet toned down effect; especially the bold well defined brows and slightly feline feel that really accentuate your eyes. The seriously smudged-out eyes spotted on the runways of Gucci and Rodarte made allusions to film noir beauty and punk rockers and metallic shades were also present at Philip Lim and Chanel. Can you strike the balance between totally eccentric and daring chic?
