 With special thanks to Versace ss12 studs, spikes and embellishment are piercing and punching their way into the high street at the moment, allowing us all to indulge our inner glamorous Goth. The studded pocket detail on this simple checked shirt from Zara immediately elevates it to a far more edgy and statement piece. Everything from shorts, jeans, jackets to accessories are seeing a healthy sprinkling of studs and spikes and let’s not forget shoes, with Christian Louboutin forging the way the high-street is also awash with pumps, boots, heels and smoking slippers heavy with embellishment.  You name it, you can stud it and the best part is, if you want the studded look without the price tag why not try customising a few pieces that you already have in your wardrobe.  I’m planning on getting creative and updating a few pieces I already have and will certainly be sharing my results…  Toughen up and unleash your rock chick within!!!  Studs rule.
